The permanently public purpose of the Foundation is:

To further and promote free discussion and non dogmatic research on the history, the theory and practice of psychoanalysis, and the transmission of psychoanalysis according to the spirit and legacy of Sándor Ferenczi.

To accomplish its permanent public benefit purpose the Foundation performs the following concrete activities:

a) Promotes clinical work and education in psychoanalysis based upon the theory and technique of Sándor Ferenczi and developments thereof.

b) To publish, promote and encourage the publication and translation of books, articles, pamphlets, and papers which may further or be based upon the contributions to psychoanalytic theory and technique facilitated by Sándor Ferenczi and became part of modern psychoanalysis.

c) To promote, orient and assist the regular organization of international conferences and meetings entitled to Sándor Ferenczi.

d) To promote the establishment the SándorFerencziMuseum, Archive and Library, a Center which offers a suitable place for professional preservation and display of documents of cultural and historic value and provided research opportunities for professionals with special interests. At the same time this Center would also serve as a training and therapeutic centre opening its doors to professionals, and visitors in Hungary, Europe and overseas.

e) Generally to secure the development of psychoanalysis along with the legacy and criticism of Sándor Ferenczi.

The Foundation is entitled to do all of this in any part of the World.
